The GMC Yukon is a full-size SUV with spacious accommodations, and it carries over into the 2026 model year with no significant changes. If the standard-wheelbase version is not roomy enough for you, you can upgrade to the extended wheelbase Yukon XL, which offers a larger cargo hold. The 2026 Yukon starts at $72,395, including the $2,795 destination charge. Pricing for the Yukon XL starts at $75,395, including the destination charge.

The GMC Yukon will be just the ticket if you need an SUV with ample passenger space. It comes standard with seating for eight, accommodating as many passengers as minivans such as the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna. Second-row captain's chairs are optional and reduce passenger capacity to seven.
Passengers in the GMC Yukon will not feel shortchanged if they end up in the third row. Several midsize SUVs offer third-row seating, but a full-size model like the Yukon offers more legroom for third-row passengers. For example, the midsize Mazda CX-90 offers 30.4 inches of third-row legroom, well short of the 34.9 inches available in the Yukon.
Buyers can choose from three trims. The base Elevation comes standard with amenities such as heated front seats, heated second-row outboard seats, a heated steering wheel, and tri-zone automatic climate control. It also includes technology features such as wireless smartphone mirroring, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless smartphone charging. The AT4 adds off-road capability with features such as four-wheel drive and a front skid plate. The most luxurious trim is the Denali Ultimate, which adds amenities such as ventilated front seats and an upgraded sound system.
Three powertrains are available. The base engine is a 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. A 6.2-liter V8 with 420 hp and 460 pound-feet of torque is optional. There is also a 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine with 305 hp and 495 pound-feet of torque. The Yukon can tow up to 8,400 pounds. All 2026 Yukon SUVs have a 10-speed automatic transmission and achieve up to 23 mpg in combined driving.
GMC equips the Yukon with a comprehensive range of standard driver assistance features. All trims include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind spot warning, lane keeping assistance, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and a surround view camera. Night vision technology is optional.

The Yukon is one of the most expensive full-size SUVs on the market. Rivals such as the Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Expedition, and Nissan Armada have lower base prices and may be a better fit for budget-conscious shoppers. Keep in mind, though, that models like the Armada offer less cargo room than the Yukon. If towing is a priority, consider the Expedition. It has a much higher tow rating than GMC's SUV.
